테라스는 외부와 내부의 경계에 위치하여 소통의 연결고리 역할을 한다. 단절된 청계천과 트래블센터의 관계를 테라스라는 건축적 장치로 다시 연결하여 공공건축물로서 개방과 소통의 랜드마크 역할을 제안한다.​
